S. Preston illustrates for the 2026 World Baseball Classic
There are moments in my 12 year art journey that truly stop me in my tracks — and being commissioned to create official artwork for this year’s World Baseball Classic is one of them. I’m incredibly thankful and honored to have been asked to be part of an event that celebrates baseball on a global stage.
In a world where so much art is digitally created, I decided to pick up my pens and markers and draw a traditional piece. I was really drawn to the clean lines and shapes of the trophy so I focused my creative energy using strong, decisive strokes to ensure the end result is strong, bold and decisive. I was fortunate to be wearing my Meta Glasses the day I illustrated this piece, and captured the each pen stroke while creating the artwork.
