Olympic Stadium was the home of the Montreal Expos, the only Major League franchise ever based in Canada before the Blue Jays, and the last home of one of baseball's most beloved lost teams. S. Preston captures that piece of Expos history in this officially licensed minimalist art print. As seen in ESPN and Sports Illustrated. A must-have for any Expos fan or the perfect gift for the Montreal baseball fan who still misses the team and the tower.
VARIANT 1: ROOF TOWER
There have been two ballparks that first served as an Olympic venue. Well let's not count the Dodgers first years in LA. The Montreal Expos played in 'The Big O' until they relocated to become the Washington Nationals. Typical with Olympic stadiums, the construction was rushed, and horribly managed, so the stadium is not well received by the Expos fans, and can be blamed for their demise.
